Darlene Valletta, LAc is a licensed acupuncturist, veteran, mother, and integrative medicine practitioner with over 10 years of experience helping patients find relief, balance, and renewed health. After a decade in practice, she opened Anchor Point Acupuncture in Rockville to bring whole-person, compassionate care to the community she calls home.
Darlene’s path to integrative medicine wasn’t a straight line, it was personal. She faced fertility challenges, spinal injuries, sports injuries, and years of chronic pain herself. Those experiences left her with more than just empathy; they fueled her determination to learn everything she could to help others navigate similar struggles. Patients often say that Darlene understands not just the symptoms but the frustration, fatigue, and fear that can come with them.
During her clinical training at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Sarasota, Florida, Darlene worked with patients recovering from strokes, Parkinson’s disease, and neurologic injuries. There, she saw how integrative therapies could dramatically improve quality of life and bring hope where conventional care sometimes reached its limits. These moments reinforced her belief that healing works best when the whole person, mind, body, and lifestyle, is part of the plan.
For Darlene, this work is more than a career; it’s a commitment to making a real difference in people’s lives. With advanced training in neuropathy, fertility & women’s health, ozone therapy, functional medicine, fascia release, and frequency medicine, she brings a full toolkit to every patient’s care plan.
